Your Story, Through Video
Crafting audience-driven messages that connect and move people.
The British Literary Tour Film
The British Literary Tour is a study abroad program that takes students to key literary sites across the UK and Ireland, tied to influential authors and texts. Students participate to engage more deeply with literature, gaining greater insight and a stronger personal connection to their studies.
The British Literary Tour Film was a capstone project where I created a promotional video for the BYU-Idaho English Department. I identified a need for a more engaging and visually compelling way to promote the program, as existing materials lacked the storytelling and emotional impact needed to fully capture students’ interest.
I oversaw the end-to-end production process, including pre-production planning, stakeholder coordination, developing interview questions, scheduling and conducting filming, and completing post-production editing, sound design, and color grading.
I created this project to help the department better communicate the value of studying abroad through authentic, experience-driven storytelling. The video increases awareness, strengthens student interest, and encourages more students to consider and participate in the program, while also serving as a versatile asset the department can use across various marketing materials to attract and inform prospective students.

The BYU-Idaho Communication Department prepares students to become effective storytellers and strategic communicators through hands-on, real-world experience. Students leave the program with the experience, expertise, and practical skills needed to confidently enter the workforce and succeed in their chosen careers.
The BYU-Idaho Communication Department needed updated messaging and promotional materials to better communicate program value, career opportunities, and next steps to prospective students.
I was brought on as the producer for a series of commercials through the student-led Soapbox Agency, working directly alongside the director while leading the full production process. As producer, I scouted locations, coordinated with talent, planned and organized shoots, and managed schedules, kit, and all resources throughout the project, ensuring all elements of production ran smoothly from pre-production through final delivery.
The project resulted in a series of well-crafted, strategic, multi-channel video assets that strengthened the department’s messaging and provided engaging content to better connect with prospective students, clearly communicating the program’s value and career pathways while helping students feel more informed, confident, and motivated to take the next steps toward enrollment.

The Idaho State Controller’s Office manages the state’s financial systems, including accounting, payroll, and reporting, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of public funds. Transparent Idaho, a platform created by the office, provides public access to government spending and financial data, promoting transparency and accountability for Idaho citizens.
The Idaho State Controller’s Office needed clear, user-friendly content to help citizens better understand and navigate the Transparent Idaho platform.
I worked on a series of 16 instructional videos that showcased how to use the site and highlighted its key features and tools. I contributed to pre-production by meeting with stakeholders to ensure the videos aligned with their goals and effectively addressed user needs, while also coordinating logistics and maintaining consistent communication throughout the project. I led all post-production work, including editing, color correction, sound design, and motion graphics, to create content that was clear, engaging, and accessible for their target audience.
The goal of the project was to help citizens understand how to navigate and access the site so they could more easily find and use public financial data, and as a result, the videos improved user understanding, increased engagement with the platform, and delivered valuable educational resources that empower citizens to confidently explore and interpret how public funds are used, supporting greater transparency and accountability.

Latter-day Profiles
Latter-day Profiles is a faith-based interview series on BYUtv that features members of the Latter-day Saint community sharing personal stories of faith and new perspectives. Produced in collaboration with Soapbox Agency, the production team captures high-quality visual and audio assets, fosters long-standing client relationships built on trust and consistency, and shapes each story through thoughtful editing and storytelling.
I was a member of the production crew for three seasons, traveling to various locations for filming. While on location at the Motion Picture Studio in Utah, I contributed to production design, operated the ATEM live-switcher for broadcast recording, managed cinema camera operation, and rigged lighting to maintain visual consistency across seasons. I also coordinated with talent as they arrived on set, ensuring clear communication and a smooth production workflow.
I led post-production efforts, ensuring audio was properly mixed, a consistent color grade was maintained across each episode, and all content met broadcast television standards. With shifting deadlines and evolving client needs, I prioritized clear communication and delivered work that consistently exceeded expectations. As a team, we maintained a high standard of quality across multiple seasons, contributing to the show’s continued success airing weekly on BYUtv.
